I'm thinking it's how I'm installing that may be the route problem for third party plugins. Mar 15, PM. I'm a little confused when you say core audio enabled. This wouldn't have to do with my interface, would it? I had it way too easy before when using Nuendo, never came across these simple questions.
Mar 15, PM in response to am In response to am I love it, and should've never used anything but Mac. I had quite the opposite experience from you. I finished completely switching over to Apple when my Android cell phone died and I got an iPhone. I have absolutely no trouble whatsoever. I've found with all Apple products, usually when I install anything, it's best to just allow it to do a standard install and let the OS determine how and where best to install it.
But that's just me. I personally have never had any trouble loading or using them, but this is what I would try. With all other applications closed Fastest way is to open Launchpad, then click on Other. Audio MIDI setup will be in there by default. It'll look something like this depending on what equipment you. Click on Window - Show Audio Window. It'll look something like this. Basically you're just looking to make sure nothing is greyed out, which would indicate it's installed but not working properly.
Assuming everything is in black, it's working and installed correctly. Devices that are greyed out are installed but not plugged in, not turned on, or just not working. On some songs, when I insert a plugin into a bus, it is greyed-out and I can't change any parameters, even though the plugin is operable. I've tried putting the plugin in a neighboring channel and then option-copying to the bus channel, but then it becomes greyed-out again.
As a workaround I put the plugin into an adjacent track and then adjust the parameters and copy it back into the bus, but this seems wrong. Thanks for any input. You can post now and register later.
